From an early age I remember being fascinated by my dad’s drawings of the Mr Men, and my earliest memory of being arty was trying to copy them. I went through my teenage years finding it easier to copy pictures and paintings and enjoyed trying to re-create my version of Picasso’s paintings. I love colour but was (and I still am) scared to use it, when I do pick up a blank sheet of paper, I prefer pencil and charcoal and chalk. I have always loved Pablo Picasso and Vincent Van Gogh, and indigenous art especially African art
