I was housed by NHG in 1969, and joined their Tenanats’ Association in North Kensington in 1972.
In 1988 I was elected on to the board of NHG and served 20 years as board member. I’m still an active Volunteer with NHG, and was awarded an MBE in 2003 for my work with residents. On retiring I joined Geeta Kapoor’s painting classes, and my paintings reflect my love of nature, and hobbies like hiking, climbing and sailing.
During Covid, I was lonely, not being able to see family or friends so I took up walking, and it was pure joy when the art classes opened up again. We all find Geeta an inspirational teacher.
